THE COUPLE

Us

We met in London in 2021. Since then we’ve seen the world together. From Dingle to Lyme Regis, truly, we’ve seen it all. Completed it. Tick. All that’s left is to get wed.

We’re getting married. You are invited.

THE PLACE

A Savage
Beauty

We’re all going to one of the most beautiful places in the world: Connemara.

It is the wild, rugged, earthy edge of Ireland. A dramatic backdrop that rewards ramblers, explorers and anyone with a keen sense of beauty and awe. It has an ample supply of fresh air, Guinness and poetry. Oscar Wilde described it as a “savage beauty”.

It is the scene stealing backdrop to our wedding weekend.

THE VENUE
WHERE WE’LL GATHER

Ballynahinch
Castle

Four hundred and fifty acres where the Owenmore River runs down off the Twelve Bens and out to the Atlantic, with a turreted, ivy-clad castle at the heart of it all. Once a fishing lodge for lords and the odd Maharajah, now a five-star hotel with a legendary pub, walled gardens, and fires lit in every room — we’ll have the run of the whole estate for the wedding.

Booking your room

Instructions for securing a room will follow soon. No need to book early — we have the whole estate at our disposal for the wedding, so there’s a bed for everyone.

THE WEEKEND

The Plan

FRI
FRIDAY 27 AUGUST

Please join us from late afternoon for drinks, food, and merriment while you settle in. Come as you are, no need to dress up.

SAT
SATURDAY 28 AUGUST

The big show! Watch us tie the knot, then eat, drink, and dance with us all night long.

SUN
SUNDAY 29 AUGUST

Join us for a sea swim (or at least to watch!) at beautiful Dog’s Bay. Will it be tropical? No! Will it cure the hangover? Maybe! Pack a towel, togs (that’s Hiberno-English for something to swim in), and a sense of smugness. We’ll then hang out nearby for a long debrief, great food, and hair of the dog. Keep it casual.

Stay a little longer

If you can, we recommend a later flight or journey home. We know some of you lovely people want to make a longer trip of it, and there’s loads of great accommodation nearby for Sunday night or beyond, even if it’s just to avoid travelling hungover. UK friends, Monday is a bank holiday! Irish friends, it’s not the longest drive…

Dress code

We’d love to see you in what you feel fabulous in at a wedding.

Dress up: Think dresses, suits, jumpsuits, and what makes you feel great. Avoid the vibe of jeans, but don’t think tuxes and tophats. Feel free to message us if you’re unsure, but we have full faith in your taste!

Will you join us?
